The The standard shipping method will always be USPS unless otherwise specified. If you wish to pay the difference for using other shipping carriers please email customerservice@animedowntown.com after you check out. We will then email you back the recalculated shipping charges and wait for your approval to ship. Domestic Packing
All orders are shipped in a plain box or envelope. Domestic orders will receive DVD cases. The envelope or box will not mention anything about its contents on the cover or label. Our return address will NOT use the name Animedowntown.com but rather MARS COM”. No advertisements or logos will be posted on the outside of the package. Your order will come with as a plain discrete package.

International Packing
DVDs will be taken out from the DVD case. No DVD case will be shipped.
DVDs will be enclosed in plain white CD envelopes and packed to look like documents. If the order contains more then one disc we will insert a cardboard to prevent damage of the disks.
All international orders will have double layer wrapping the disk. We will use a different name on the return address of the shipping label for your privacy.

Pre-Released Titles
Our location in Southern California enables us to receive new titles much faster then other online stores out there. To ensure that our customers always get the latest titles first we post Pre-Released titles on our site for sale. Our customers are able to order titles that have not been released yet in advance. Once we get the titles we send them out to our customers immediately. However there will be cases when studios announce a release date but later push the release date back. In that case we will email you to let you know the new release date and when we can ship out your order.

Although some studios provide screen shots for Pre-Released titles, most studios do not. So we can not provide screen shots for Pre-Released titles until we receive the titles ourselves. But be assured that once we do receive the titles, our screen shot team will do their best to provide you an accurate insight of the movie to further help your shopping experience.

Discontinued item
If any item(s) is discontinued after your order is placed, we have couple solutions for you to choose:
1. You may exchange for another item at the same or less value than the original price and we will credit you back if there is any difference in the value.
2. You may ask for a refund and we will credit you back the full value of the item. If you pay other than credit card, we will issue you a Store Credit for your next purchase or by check if the amount is over $10 dollars as you wish.
In any circumstance, we will notify you by email. If you do not respond us within 14 days, a store credit will be automatically issued to your account with animedowntown.com for your next purchase.

DOA Exchange Policy
Here are the steps to follow to exchange DOA products.

1. Send us an Email and tell us what happened. Also mention the type of player you are using. And tell us your order number.

2. We will get back to you by E-mail with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) code number that you will need to put on the outside of the package that you send back.

3. When you send the defective item back to us, make sure you enclose a note telling us as detailed as possible what you want done. We must have your order number, name, and a brief statement of what went wrong.

We will NOT accept DVDs sent back without RMA numbers so please contact us to get an RMA number first. Items sent back without RMA numbers will be sent back to you at your own expense. We will only exchange DOA items with the exact same title, in the case that the title you ordered is discontinued we will assign store credit towards your next purchase. We will not exchange titles for different titles in any case, defective DVDs will only be replaced by the same exact title. Besides DOA items we will not accept any other exchanges.

Pre-Release Price
Titles that are marked as Pre-Release will be sold at a special sale price (20% OFF) until its release date. Once the title has been released it will be put back to normal price.

Shipping and Handling charge
US Domestic: $5.00 for the first 5 items. Add $1.00 for every additional disc. All other countries: $7.00 for first 5 items. Add $1.00 for every additional disc . Ship US Air Mail, 5 - 7 days.

Free Shipping Qualifications
Our Free Shipping promotion has been simplified so that all customers can understand and take advantage of our free shipping deal. Now to qualify for free shipping all you need to do is make an order equal or more then $150. Tax and shipping cost do not count towards your $150 quota.
